BDF and its divisions Boldon Drilling and BB Drilling, is the UK's largest and longest established drilling company for coal, oil, gas, salt water and other important minerals. BDF owns 30 rigs that can cover all on-shore operational requirements to a depth capacity of 4,000 metres. It has more back-up facilities than other UK drilling company and is not dependant upon other contractors. In addition to BDF's premier position in the UK, the company has established an international reputation having completed contracts in France, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Canada, USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Egypt, Pakistan, Australia, Zaire, Tunisia, Indonesia, South Africa and El Salvador. BDF operates a modern fleet of heavy transport vehicles providing a wide range of transport services throughout the UK and Europe. BB Drilling - Shallow boreholes from 0-100m at a finished hole size of up to 8". Experienced drillers for earth rod installation, site investigation, coring and monitoring holes Waterwells - Boreholes up to 250m deep and up to 60" in diameter for water extraction. Work experience with all the major water authorities. Exploration - Boreholes up to 2000m deep for oil, gas, coal, salt and other mineral exploration, plus workover and re-entry capability. Boldon Drilling - Boreholes up to 4000m deep for onshore oil and gas exploration / workover. Ground Freezing - Artificial Ground Freezing employed to provide a strong and impermeable barrier through saturated and unstable strata, using liquid nitrogen or brine.
